Tile Sets
I call this group Tile Sets because each template has several designs. These are designed to be mixed and matched. Each Set has its own character. TS1 is botanical. In TS2 each square is divided into quarters. TS3 has a cross in each square. The TS4 tiles are botanical motifs set in circles. You can mix these designs with each other, or for even more fun you can mix them with the smaller tiles to follow. And there is no rule against mixing them with any of the other Hasty Lace® template designs!
The designs in the three square Tile Sets come from a picture of an old, old cloth with squares of
fabric alternating with squares of lace. It was probably an altar altar
cloth. These beautiful motifs are all the same size, making it easy to
mix and match to make a mosaic of Tiles. Each template has the tiles
spaced apart at different distances so you can use the outer borders of
the group for spacing. I found it difficult to do the spacing by
measuring and marking the squares out by hand.
