This template is made from heavy plastic. The holes in the plastic are laser-cut, making them cupped on the front side. The label on the template is on the front, and if you want to use the template to emboss vellum you will work only from this side. (The holes are smaller on the back of the template and do not work well for embossing.)
Notice how the image is reversed on the template. You press the paper
into the holes, then turn it over so that the indentations you made are
now bumps, and you will see that the design is now facing the right way.
