Because of its simplicity, this template can offer a striking array of patterns when it is repeated. The square grid gives to a placement for the "flower" design in the corner. Make one repeat for a card, continuous repeats for a quilt, or leave a space open in the center to make a frame. You could layer something over the center area, making the rest of your pattern into a background. You could emboss a different pattern in the center to make it the focal point of your quilt design.

Consider the circles: they can be used with the square grid, or with no grid at all. You can put the circles in the centers of the squares. If you make one set of circles and then make another set right on top of them you can get some interesting designs as a result of the placements you choose. The circles can be combined with the other Scoring Templates as well. A look through the Ideas on this page will be a better demonstration than mere words can convey.
