If you like to play around with the illusion of 3 dimensional space, this Scoring Template is for you! Now you see stars, now you see cubes… It all depends on how you fill it in with some patterns.

The larger and smaller versions on this template each consist of a 6-pointed star surrounded by a hexagon. In the smaller design the hexagons are tessellated point to point, leaving triangular spaces in between. The larger design consists of hexagons that are tessellated edge to edge, which makes it continuous. For me, the cubes pop out so much in the continuous version that it is hard to see the stars.

You can combine these two patterns as well. Check out the Ideas to see an example of this. Building your design step-by-step will make it easy, even though the final result looks very complex.
