Shadowbox Star Card
This is such an effective card format. It's a frame, really, so don't limit your thinking to greeting cards. The Snowman Shadowbox Card uses the same technique inside a card. This version can be the card itself or just a shadowbox frame. Set it on a table: it will stand quite nicely all by itself. Hang it on a wall: it can hang quite nicely too. If you want it to stay flat against the wall, make an inconspicuous hole in the back to put on a nail.
